More Information

The National NC-2-40CS is a vintage, 12-tube commercial shortwave radio receiver built in the 1940s by the National Company.

Key Features and Specifications
Frequency Range: Tunes from 200 kHz to 400 kHz (replacing the standard AM broadcast band), and 1.0 MHz to 30.0 MHz.
Circuit: 12-tube superheterodyne design with a crystal filter.
Bandswitching: Uses a unique mechanical "coil catacomb" that rotates specific coils into place.
Bandspread: No specialized amateur bandspread is included; it relies on direct frequency readout and logging scales.
Audio Output: Features up to 8 watts of power, capable of driving a 500 Ω or standard low-impedance speaker.

I have powered it up and with headphones tuned in KEZW so most circuits seem to work.
