The Denver Radio Club will hold its annual Field Day Event at the Prospect Arena located at 13805 West 52nd Ave. in Arvada, https://w0tx.org/fieldday/. This is the same location used in recent years.

We will commence setup at 0800 on Saturday June 22nd and provide a free breakfast to those who show up to help setup.

Operation begins at noon. Lunch will then be served followed later by Dinner. Operations usually continue into the evening with one or two members operating all night long.

We would really appreciate any of you with an RV to come and camp onsite overnight on Saturday. This will also provide added security for site. There is no shore power available for camping so you will need to be self-contained.  There is a porta-potty provided close to the camping area. A lite breakfast will be provided on Sunday morning for all. Radio operations cease at noon on Sunday when we will immediately start breaking down the encampment. There will be no hot lunch provided on Sunday – just snacks. Coffee, water and other drinks will be provided for the entire event.

We expect to have 3 radios operating (Class 3A Station):
• A SSB station on 20, 15 and 10 meters utilizing a tri-band beam atop a crank-up tower (same as last year)

• An FT8/FT4 station on 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters.
Unfortunately we lost our DX Commander antenna to a snow storm. Anyone having a multi-band HF vertical antenna that we could use, please contact Dick Nelson, N6WHV at 805-558-0009 or [email protected]

• A SSB/CW station on 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters.
This will be using an off-center fed dipole (same as last year)

All stations will operate under a canopy with power provided by a gasoline generator. It might be a good idea to bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. A light jacket might be needed on Saturday evening. We look forward to your participation and hope you invite your family and friends to stop by.
